PvP is pretty hardcore and has good/moderate, lasting replay value.

As stated, ideally, if the expansion packs came out on a six to eight months bases, the pve wouldnt suffer as it has now. By the time the content has been exhausted it would be refreshed with a new chapter.
This is how I thought it would work, but thats yet to happen so far.

There came a time when playing this game that I figured out, this isnt a really roleplaying game.
Its a multiplayer story driven adventure game, and a multiplayer teambased competitive combat game.

That being said, instead of seperating the two, (which wouldnt have been a bad idea from the set off, but now that system is in place and familiar it would make a lot of people go "wtf!") Id like to see them expand upon and further perfecting thier basic idea.
Maybe they viewed it as playing WC3. You can play the story missions by yourself. Or go to Blizzard Net. But you never could play story missions with someone else.

So I guess they did just that: Allow people to play missions and quests together AND allow people to play PvP also.

I do however say people should try to interact more with players. I think thats what keeps it fresh, meeting all kinds of people, yes even the wierdos or outright rudes are a blast for me... the only type I hate are leavers.

But all in all Ive met more cool people then not. And that makes PvE cool for me.

Here's an official response from Anet about Pvp / Pve in a recent interview.

CGW: A lot of hardcore PVP players have complained that they don't want to be forced to unlock skills in the larger game. Are you taking any steps to make PVP-exclusive players happier in this regard?

GG: This situation presents a conundrum: The PVP is so good in GW that even those who are not usually RPG players are attracted to the game. However, a percentage of those players are accustomed to games where you don't really make much of an investment in your character. On the other hand, traditional RPG players are most likely to want (and to expect) the ability to be involved with their characters through quests, missions, and earned rewards. Serving both is challenging, but we feel that we're making great strides towards finding that balance between PVP and cooperative gameplay. We know that PVP players [want to level faster], and we're actively responding to that need.
aka they know, there not going to split them and they will be tweaking till they find a right mix the majority accept.

Yes, it'd be nice if there was more in-game conversations besides:
"LFG to do mission(in some town where no one is leaving for some dumb quest) no n00b groups I'm a highly experienced(but you know they're not) fire nuker(holy crap doesn't take long to master fire)"

For those who can't figure it out, the parenthesis designate areas in the literature where I voice my opinion on the previously stated comment. If you find it hard to read, copy/paste into notepade, delete the fields surrounded by parenthesis and you should be able to read the sentence quite easily.

Anywho, conversations in GW are horrible and just about the only way to get a decent conversation going is with a guildy, or a friend you know outside of the game. Though this is grand and what not, it can get boring talking to the same people day after day. Friends are great, but there's nothing better than debating electrical lines on amish lands with some half baked cookie in Canada(no offense to Canadians, I love some of you people).

But, while returning sort of to the OP, I think it would require an expansion on the existing PvE play in order for something like this to happen. By expansion I don't necessarily mean Chapter 2, just any patch in general. ANet needs to think of a way to give the in-game community a reason to talk, because otherwise most people won't. I mean, why would you want to talk when you can flash a couple thousand gold and be in Droknars in a couple hours after making a character?(its an exaggeration yo)

I don't think that seperating the two(PvP and PvE) is going to be ANets plan of action, but I hope they at least consider adding depth to PvE, because I do agree that after you've beat titan missions(4 or so hours = 130k exp, kinda sweet), gathered more ecto/shards than your sanity allows while decimating the creatures of UW/FoW, that the game gets boring. What's there to do? Really the only thing to do is hunt greens with the hope of striking it rich in SF.

Yeah most people who play Graphical MMOs are maybe... dumb? Or lack social skills? Or to stupid to interact? Who knows what mysteries...

This is something i already do sometimes, because im silly. ^^

I have a decent nice max weapon. I go to Ascalon City and get 3 players to join my party. I explain rules. I'm gonna be playing hide and seek in District 1 of a random city within ascalon (i ask them what cities they have first) and then the chase is on.

Sometimes when the weapon is a purple or better i like to make them catch me 3 times in a row or something >.>
